Stan Winston Studios played a vital role in designing the look and feel of all the dinosaurs in the movie. The models they created became the reference for all the other effects that went into the making of the movie. Stan Winston Studios also created the life size animatronic T-Rex which was one of the most important dinosaurs in the film.
