The Sinking of the Lusitania
Watch this amazing life-like animation of the Sinking of the Lusitania by Winsor McCay way back in 1918. It took McCay 25,000 individual drawings to complete this masterpiece. Imagine what he could have achieved if he had access to the latest 3D animation software like Maya. The sequence showing people sliding down the ropes as the ship sinks is incredible. Considering the fact that he drew 25,000 individual drawings by hand to create this animation is mind simply boggling.
